States of Consciousness & Inner Access

1) What Hypnosis Truly Is

Hypnosis is not sleep, nor unconsciousness. It is a natural state of consciousness, positioned between full wakefulness, the dream state, and deep inner absorption.

In this state, the mind gradually releases its constant analytical activity, allowing awareness to descend into deeper internal layers. Attention turns inward, perception becomes refined, and consciousness shifts from control to observation.

Hypnosis occurs spontaneously in everyday life: during repetitive motion, deep concentration, moments of creative flow, or when attention becomes absorbed beyond time. It is therefore not an artificial condition, but a familiar and intrinsic human experience.

2) The Role of the Subconscious

The subconscious mind is the repository of experience, memory, learning, emotion, and internal programming. Everything that has been learned, repeated, emotionally charged, or unconsciously adopted is stored within it.

Through hypnosis, access to the subconscious becomes direct. The conscious mind no longer interferes, judges, or resists. Instead, it allows deeper layers of intelligence to emerge and communicate.

  • Automatic behaviors and habits
  • Emotional imprints and memory patterns
  • Belief systems and inner narratives
  • Energetic responses and psychosomatic links
  • Unconscious protective mechanisms

3) Hypnosis as a Functional State

Hypnosis does not remove free will. The individual remains present, aware, and capable of exiting the state at any moment. What changes is not control, but depth of access.

In this condition, perception becomes fluid, symbols acquire meaning, and inner imagery speaks a language beyond rational logic. This is the foundation upon which therapeutic, spiritual, and metaphysical applications are built.

4) Hypnosis on a Metaphysical Level

On a metaphysical plane, hypnosis functions as a gateway of perception. It allows consciousness to disengage from external sensory dominance and attune itself to subtler energetic fields.

In this state, information is not processed intellectually. It is perceived directly, through symbolic vision, inner knowing, energetic sensation, or spontaneous insight.

  • Access to archetypal and symbolic planes
  • Connection to the Higher or Inner Self
  • Exploration of soul memory and continuity
  • Perception of subtle energetic structures
  • Recognition of inner spiritual guidance

5) Hypnosis, Vision & Divinatory Insight

Hypnosis can also be used as a tool of inner vision. By quieting the conscious mind, perception aligns with deeper informational layers, where time, memory, and probability coexist.

In this context, hypnosis does not “predict” the future. It reveals tendencies, energetic trajectories, and potential outcomes already present within the individual’s field.

  • Reading energetic tendencies and directions
  • Understanding karmic or soul-related patterns
  • Clarifying inner blocks and unresolved cycles
  • Accessing intuitive guidance beyond logic
  • Exploring symbolic timelines and probabilities

6) Hypnosis as a Path of Transformation

Ultimately, hypnosis is a path of transformation. It allows the individual to observe, understand, and consciously reshape inner structures.

Through repeated or guided practice, hypnosis supports the release of limiting patterns, the realignment of intention, and the integration of deeper awareness into daily life.

This article is provided for educational and symbolic purposes within the context of the Temple Library. Hypnosis, as presented here, is a tool for inner exploration, self-knowledge, and metaphysical understanding. It does not replace medical, psychological, or professional therapeutic diagnosis or treatment.
